Family Visitation Day!

In Ugandan boarding schools, there is one weekend per trimester where families and friends are invited to come visit the students at school. This is always a special time for both the students and the families since they take so long without seeing each other. Parents usually pack a special lunch to enjoy with their kids. It's also a chance for their students to see their young siblings. This visitation day is a very important aspect of SONBT's value of Family Development. We want to ensure that parents are playing an active role in the lives of their children and taking this opportunity to express their love.

Visitation Day is also important for SONBT because it gives us a chance to check in with the students, look at their grades, and talk to their teachers about any academic or behavioral concerns. We take this opportunity to provide any counseling that the students may need as well as pray with them and for them. It's a day that we never want to miss!
