Our Recent Trip to Uganda

We had a very fruitful trip to Uganda last month and are so excited for what the future holds for our students. Visiting the students is always the highlight of our trip where we play games with the younger kids and were able to take the high schoolers out for lunch. This trip we had two guest speakers that shared their story of their childhood in the slums and how they received an education opportunity that turned their future around. Visiting the parents of our students in the slums is always part of our visits here. We were so touched by their love and appreciation for the program and we encouraged them to continue playing their vital role as parents in the lives of their children. The BIG new thing that happened on our trip was welcoming to our team a Career Guidance Counselor for our high school students. She will help them to identify their strengths and set achievable goals for their future success. More to come!
