Patricia's Next Step

In Uganda only a small fraction of High School graduates will go on to study at the University level. Most students will stop their education entirely, but some will choose vocational training schools as an alternative. These schools help prepare Ugandan youth with practical "real-world" skills that can help them either start their own businesses or find reliable employment. Uganda's most highly respected vocational institute is conveniently located right down the street from one of the slum communities where SONBT works!

Patricia

Patricia is SONBT's very first student to complete her high school education and move on to tertiary education. She is in the Catering & Hotel Management program which will take her 2 years. Patricia has hopes of working in one of Kampala's prestigious hotels until she has the experience and expertise to start her own restaurant. We are very excited for her as she begins this new stage in her education!
